Oh, what’s that up in the sky? Look closely—do you see it? A magical, shimmering rainbow stretching high above Captain Kibble’s favorite dog park! But wait... what’s this? At the very end of the rainbow, there’s a legend of a treasure. Not just any treasure, oh no. A Rainbow Bone! Made of every color you can imagine and said to make whoever finds it the happiest pup in the whole wide world. Captain Kibble wiggled his nose, perked up his floppy ears, and gave his tail an excited wag. A quest!! “Woof-hoo!” he barked. “It’s adventure time!”

So off he went, paws trotting and tail high, following the bright colors of the rainbow—or as he called it, “The Waggy Train of Colors.” He sniffed the air and licked at the wind because, naturally, maybe the bone smelled like bacon. Or chicken! Mmm. But along the way, Captain Kibble spotted someone in need. A little bluebird was chirping on the ground, hopping in circles like she’d lost her way.

“Tweet-tweet! Oh no!” cried the bluebird. “I was so busy flying around, I forgot where my nest is!”

Captain Kibble stopped, tilted his head, and barked kindly. “Don’t worry, little bird! Captain Kibble is here! Let’s sniff out that nest of yours together.” He checked every tree trunk with a mighty sniff, circling it three times for extra good luck, of course. Finally, he picked up the scent of twigs and feathers, just the smell a birdie nest should have. “Up here!” Captain Kibble woofed.

The bluebird flapped her wings happily. “Thank you, Captain Kibble! You didn’t have to stop—aren’t you on a quest?”

Captain Kibble wagged. “What’s a quest if you don’t help a friend along the way?”

As he continued pawing toward the rainbow’s end, there came another sound—this time, a crunch-crunch-crunch. It was Marvin the mischievous squirrel, holding a huge pile of acorns too big for his tiny paws. “Oh crumbs!” squeaked Marvin as his acorns tumbled everywhere.

Captain Kibble couldn’t just walk by. Of course not! He hurried over and started scooping the runaway acorns into a pile with his nose. Marvin twitched his fluffy tail and giggled. “Thanks, Captain! How can I repay you? Do you need an acorn?”

Captain Kibble chuckled, “No need, Marvin! This quest is plenty exciting. I just couldn’t leave you all fuzzy and frazzled!”

Finally, Captain Kibble reached the end of the rainbow. His tail froze. His eyes widened. Could it be—?! There, sitting on a rock, was the most beautiful Rainbow Bone he’d ever seen.

But there was another sound... sort of a whimper. Nearby, a shy little bunny was staring at the bone too. Her eyes sparkled, but she stayed back, looking unsure. Captain Kibble turned and smiled his biggest doggy grin. “Do you want to see it too?” he asked gently.

The bunny shuffled her paws nervously. “Oh, no... it’s your treasure.”

Captain Kibble pawed the ground. “Yes, but great treasures are better when shared.”

Together, they approached the Rainbow Bone, and as they both reached it, it began to glow even brighter! It sparkled so much, it made Kibble sneeze. “Ah—choo!!”

The bunny giggled, and something amazing happened. Instead of being the same ol’ Rainbow Bone, it magically turned into TWO bones—one for Captain Kibble and one for the bunny! They looked at each other, tails wagging and noses twitching.

“Guess it’s true,” Captain Kibble said. “Sharing really does make everything better.”

So off they went, bunny hopping and dog wagging, each with their colorful treasures. And Captain Kibble? He knew one thing for certain. A quest might be exciting... but helping others along the way? That’s the real treasure.
